This fund was established by Edward Sullo, in memory of his wife Patricia (O’Keefe) Sullo, with the stated preference that the scholarship be awarded to a music scholar.
Patricia (O’Keefe) Sullo was born in Salem, Massachusetts and attended the Salem Public School system. Patricia and Ed met while both were working for Northeast Airlines in Tampa, Florida. Prior to her death in December 2011, Mrs. Sullo raised their five children and was a housewife for 53 years. In addition to her husband, Edward A. Sullo, she was survived by her son James M. Sullo, daughters Elena M. Brownlee and Maria C. McClure, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons Edward J. and William J. Sullo, and grandson Daniel S. Sullo.
Edward Sullo was born in Wakefield and attended the Wakefield Public School system, graduating as a member of the Class of 1946. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany and Korea, 1946-1952, and was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Sullo graduated from the Boston University School of Industrial Technology and was employed by both Northeast Airlines and Delta Airlines for a total of 34 ½ years. Mr. Sullo resided in Conyers, Georgia, until his death in September 2012.
