Morris F. and Nathalie Stoddard Fund

Nathalie Stoddard started this fund in 1997 when she stopped at The Savings Bank in 1997 during the 1997 Annual TSF Phonathon, at which her granddaughter, a student director at that time, was participating. Mrs. Stoddard and her husband, better known as “Mossie”, were Wakefield residents and graduates and Wakefield High School. Mr. Stoddard served his country in the Pacific during World War II. The Stoddards were married at the First Parish Congregational Church and remained very active there throughout their lives, both serving as Trustees on the Diaconate. Morris also served as Church Council Moderator. Mr. Stoddard served as Trustee, Treasurer and on the Executive Committee of the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital while his wife volunteered there in many areas of the hospital’s operation. Both also served as Trustees of The Savings Bank. Morris died in the 1980’s and his wife died in the spring of 1998.
