A native of Wakefield, “Tank” Orsini was employed by the Wakefield Municipal Light Department for 20 years until his retirement in 1989. He was also a WWII veteran, having served in the Pacific where he earned a WWII Victory Medal and an Asiatic Pacific Area Medal. This fund was established by his co-workers following his death in November 1991 and has a preference for a student of engineering.
