Laura A. Lee Fund

A close friend of the Lee Family, following Laura’s sudden death in February 1993, established this fund. Laura attended Wakefield schools, graduating from Our Lady of Nazareth Academy in 1985. She was a champion runner and military veteran who served with distinction in the U.S. Army, particularly in Operation Desert Storm. She was also an avid outdoorswoman who was trained as an instructor in the Outward Bound Program. Laura was the granddaughter of the late attorney William J. Lee, after whom Wakefield’s Town Hall is named and one of the founders of The Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield. Laura’s father, Bill Lee, serves as a Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield director. This fund has a preference for a female student who runs track.
