Jimmy Leach Little League Scholarship Fund

Jimmy was associated with Wakefield Little League from the fall of 1984 until his sudden death in 1987 at age 40. He was a tireless supporter of Little League, donating thousands of dollars and countless hours making Fernald Field one of the top Little League diamonds in the state. His final project, two new T-Ball fields, was in process when he died. On April 30, 1988, opening day of Wakefield Little League, the Little League Association named the entire baseball complex off of DelCarmine Street, “James W. Leach Memorial Park”. This fund has a preference for a student who participated in Wakefield Little League.
