Miss Laramore’s niece, in memory of her Aunt Margaret, established this fund. Born in Nova Scotia, Margaret came to Wakefield to live with her sister Estella Laramore MacDonald. She worked as a seamstress with the Winship/Boit Company in Wakefield, eventually working with designers for women’s clothing, making all the samples for professional showings. She retired in 1968 and died in 1996 just before her 96th birthday.
