Lapham Family Fund in Memory of Barbara Courant

Mrs. Courant established this fund in 1997 in honor of her children who all attended Wakefield High School, went on to college, and who still live in the New England Area. Mrs. Courant worked for the School Department for many years, as Barbara Lapham before her husband died. She remarried in the early 1990’s and moved to Colorado. She traveled back to New England several times a year to visit her family. She died suddenly in January 2000. This fund was intended to be a lasting tribute to the school system that supported her children.
