William H. and Eva S. Jaynes Fund

The children of William and Eva Jaynes established this fund in 1980 to honor the memory of their parents, longtime active Wakefield residents. Mr. Jaynes, who died in 1963, had been a painting contractor. He was instrumental in establishing the Boy Scouts organization in Wakefield and he remained very active in scouting. He was also an active member of both the Rotary Club of Wakefield and the Golden Rule Lodge. Mrs. Jaynes, a member of the Wakefield High School Class of 1928, was a 50-year member of the First Parish Congregational Church. She graduated from the Chandler School of Business and was a retired employee of American Mutual Insurance Company. She died in 1980.
