Blaise J. “Ben” Faillace Fund

Mr. Faillace, known as Ben to his family and friends, resided in Wakefield for 43 years before his death in 1994 at the age of 83. He served as a member of the original School committee to the Northeast Regional Vocational School, believing firmly that education was the key to a bright future. He was also active in the West Side Social Club and the Wakefield Knights of Columbus. He worked for GTE for more than 30 years. He was known as an avid New York Yankees fan, having served in the Yankee’s organization as a batboy. He served as a TSF director for a short time. This fund has a preference for a student pursuing vocational or occupational education.
