Royal H. & Daune E. Evans Fund

Royal H. & Daune E. Evans were long time residents of Wakefield. As a member of First Parish Congregational Church of Wakefield, Royal was a Life Deacon and leader of faith activities for over 50 years. He became a Stephen Minister and a faithful member of the Diaconate. Roy was considered an avid horticulturist who achieved Master Gardener status from the Horticultural Society. Roy served on the Town of Wakefield Finance Committee for 25 years. Daune Evans served as town secretary to the Wakefield Fire Department and later served in the veterans office and the office of the tax collector. She was also a member of the First Parish Congregational Church. This scholarship was established in the loving memory of their parents by their two sons.
