Marie and Phil D’Alessandro Fund

This fund was established in memory of the late Mrs. D’Allesandro who died in 1989. She was the secretary to Superintendent of Schools Dr. George A. MacArthur in the 1970’s. Marie was an outgoing person who loved children although she did not have any of her own. She was active in the Wakefield school system, was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish, and was an active member of TOPS/KOPS. Her husband, Felice “Phil”, died in November 1992. He was a retired painting contractor and Wakefield native. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish and the Wakefield Lodge of Elks. A veteran of World War II, he served aboard the USS Columbia.
