This fund memorializes Joyce Ahmed who had been a popular seventh grade math teacher at the Galvin Middle School. She died of cancer in 1999 at the age of 36, just a month before the school year ended. She was an incredibly intelligent, caring and loving teacher who did a lot for the Galvin students.
